MARINER'S BLISS WALL HANGING 2 DAY CLASS NEED LIST
All fabrics should be 100% cotton, prewashed and ironed. Measurements are based on an approximate 44” wide fabric.
For arches and star: 7 pieces of fabric, 1/3 meter each. The colours should work well together and should include at least one medium-light and one very dark piece. The rest may be somewhere in between.
Background fabric : 1 metre of white or cream fabric. (a very very pale shade of colour is acceptable, the key is that this fabric should be noticably lighter that the lightest of the seven)
A truly exuberant quilter may achieve the face of this quilt before class is finished on the second day. Finishing materials for this project would include 1 metre of backing fabric, one square metre of batting and 1⁄2 metre fabric for binding, safety pins walking foot etc.

- Sewing machine, recently serviced, oiled with a new needle
- Quarter inch foot with guide (optional but very helpful)
- Neutral threads or threads that blend well with your chosen colours.
- Quilter rulers 24 inch long
- Usual sewing equipment, unpick, pins, scissors, etc.
- Paper scissors
- A dull or used needle for punching patterns in paper.
- Sticky tape.
- Pencil
