HAPPY VILLAGES


Karen Eickmann visited New Zealand and spoke to the Marlborough Quilt club.  She showed us two of her books, and I fell in love with her Happy Village pattern.  

The assembly of the pattern is simple, the outcome not obvious until the second phase is applied.  My daughters had no idea what the pattern outcome was going to be, but they followed my instructions until suddenly one of them said "oh, they're little houses!"   

These became presents for grandmothers.
