| It's always a bit of a relief when a quilt has been made for an exhibition and the forms filled out, fees paid and that part of the process is complete. Before out last symposium we had traveled a great deal eating into my creation time. I instead focused on pattern making and sadly spent a great deal of effort on a quilt that was too large to be entered (every symposium has different maximum sizes). This symposium, I have had the time and energy to enter quite a few quilts. Eight in fact. The guest bed is covered with entries, all with hanging sleeves, and also labeled bags for each. Perhaps this is a bit excessive. No telling how many, or which will be accepted for display, however this is a year that 'worked' for creating quite a few. Yay. The down side is that on social media, I am not posting my quilt work, all kept on the quiet because they are made for exhibition. So while it appears I'm not doing anything, the work is happening just not public! Once October rolls around I'll be able to do a plethora of posts. Looking forward to sharing my work publicly. |
